COPS FILL THE BILL

DIANE ROBBINS had been thinking about doing volunteer work. She hadn’t quite found what she was looking for until she got on the Internet and discovered COPS. Everything she read about COPS appealed to her. She lost no time in signing up, attending the academy and she graduated in May 2008.

Since joining COPS, DIANE has found that being a member of our group has been very interesting for her and she has learned a lot. DIANE has great respect for the people who have invested so much of themselves to our group and taught her so much. DIANE said, “You don’t have to be a senior to join and the atmosphere working with COPS is a lot of fun.”

When DIANE and her husband, Brian aren’t working at their upholstery shop in Victorville, they enjoy four-wheeling and camping. Diane also enjoys bike riding and loves to run to stay in shape. (This activity allows her to indulge in her favorite Italian food…particularly chicken Alfredo, with no guilt feelings!)

DIANE has three grown children and six grandchildren. We must not forget to mention her dog, “Wheeler” who is a very gentle and lovable boxer who loves to play with the kids.

Welcome to SVL COPS, DIANE. We appreciate having you in our COP family and we are so happy to have filled your desire to do volunteer service

ARE YOU CHICKEN?

There are more chickens than people in the world.

THE EYES HAVE IT

Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.

Women blink nearly twice as much as men.

A shark is the only fish that can blink with both eyes.

An ostrich’s eye is bigger than it’s brain.
